PP6: Software Development with C++

Module title: Software Development with C++

Module convenor: Mark Slater (Birmingham) and Ben Morgan (Warwick)

Module aims:

A general introduction to software development with C++.

Prerequisites

Familiarity with one of the following development environments:
  • UNIX terminal with C/C++ compiler and text editor
  • Xcode
  • Visual Studio Express 2010

The course will provide a limited number of Linux workstations, but you are welcome to bring your own laptop provided it has one of the above environments installed.

Registration

As this course is delivered as a series of hands-on workshops it is not broadcast over Access Grid and places are limited. In the event of over subscription, priority will be given to particle physics students from Birmingham and Warwick. However, the notes, exercises and further information are freely available, and we can answer a limited number of questions via email.
