MR5: Applications of Magnetic Resonance

Module aims:
The aim of this module is to introduce students to further advanced applications of magnetic resonance including unilateral magnetic resonance and specific unilateral hardware design, Flow imaging with magnetic resonance, medical applications with elastography and guided interventions and applications of magnetic resonance in all forms to measuring the properties of foodstuffs.

Learning objectives:
To explain the principles of unilateral magnetic resonance and the design of the hardware involved
To learn about the methods used for flow imaging
To understand the principles of elastography and MR guiding
To relate the different types of magnetic resonance measurements to applications for food

Syllabus:
Sessions 1 & 2: Unilateral MR
Session 3: Unilateral Demonstration and Flow MR
Session 4: Medical Applications of MR
Session 5: Applications of MR to food

All sessions are delivered by Rob Morris from Nottingham Trent University
