MR2: Magnetic Resonance Hardware

Module title: Magnetic Resonance Hardware (MR2)

Module convenor:

Andrew Howes

Module aims and objectives:

To give the postgraduate student studying ESR, NMR and MRI related topics a general understanding of what makes a modern spectrometer tick. The range of hardware covered includes coils and shims, magnets, spectrometer transmitter and receiver systems, and radiofrequency probes.

There will be 5 x 2 hr lectures. The outline syllabus is given below. For a more detailed lecture synopsis please download the syllabus PDF file.
